The Knicks needed this win and Amar’e Stoudemire made sure they got it.
Amar’e led the team with 41 points, 19 of which came in the first half.
Landry Fields had a huge game. He finished with 25 points and 10 rebounds. He nailed four shots to stop small runs that the 76ers put together. When the Knicks needed a bucket to stop the bleeding, Fields was there.
Baskets like these have been VERY hard to for the Knicks to get when the opposing team begins to take control of the game. It was amazing seeing our rookie Landry Fields step up and make these difficult shots.
At one point during the game STAT made 12 out of 13 shots and dominated Elton Brand who got the better of Amare last game.
Fields tallied his 11th double-double of the season, and Raymond Felton added 13 points and 13 assists for the Knicks.
All in all this was a much needed win that gives the Knicks some breathing room. Lets see if any of the chatter surrounding Carmelo solidifies, and if it does the playoff picture in the east is VERY different.
