Could Not Pull The Trigger

Frank Isola is reporting that Donnie Walsh recently turned down an offer of Carmelo Anthony and Chauncey Billups for Danilo Gallinari, Raymond Felton, Eddy Curry’s expiring contract, an unnamed starter, and a first round draft pick.
I am quite glad that Donnie did not accept this deal. He is showing that he is really trying to do what is best for the team. He is not going to completely blow up the roster in order to acquire Carmelo Anthony.
Ken Berger added that the Knicks and Denver would meet face-to-face over All-star weekend to work on the deal.
I am glad that the Knicks and Nuggets are actively talking; this shows how much the trade talks have progressed since earlier this year.
It seems as if the parameters are set, and not the negotiations are going on.
Let’s see if Donnie can stay strong, not over-pay, and still acquire Carmelo Anthony.
Go Knicks!
