Pre-Game: Knicks vs Bobcats

The Knicks have lost five straight games. They are now 7-11 post-trade. The Knicks and their fans are frustrated, and the team needs a win to return to their winning ways.

Tonight, the Knicks will be facing off against the Charlotte Bobcats. Last night, the Bobcats defeated the Celtics on the road. It’s a tough game considering the Bobcats are also in the midst of a run to make the playoffs. The Knicks don’t play again until Wednesday, it is essential that they win at any cost tonight. A win would most likely lead to a much healthier practice environment the next few days.

The problem as Newsday’s Alan Hahn has pointed out might simply be that this team lacks a leader, and Walt “Clyde” Frazier also touched on the fact that the team is getting used to losing. Last night however I saw a sign in Stoudemire’s anger during a timeout in the 4th quarter that he’s getting tired of this. He established it is his team and he will not allow the losing to continue, look for him to have a huge game tonight.

All things considered the Knicks need this win BAD. Be on the lookout for a possible lineup change from Coach D’Antoni, Douglas started the second half last night and might do the same from the beginning of this game. (UPDATE: Douglas is starting…)

Go Knicks!
