On a night when nothing mattered, the New York Knicks lost to the Chicago Bulls by a score of 103-90.
Amare Stoudemire sat this game out, and will do so once again tomorrow. Mike D’Antoni did play Carmelo Anthony and Chauncey Billups for a combine 61 minutes, but pulled them once the game slipped away.
Carlos Boozer exploited the Knicks lack of an interior presence. He lit the Knicks up for 14 points and 22 rebounds.
The first half was not too bad. However, the real turning point was the 3rd quarter. The Bulls managed to extent their lead to 21 points at one point in that quarter.
While it is unfortunate to see the Knicks lose, you cannot feel bad about this loss because it meant absolutely nothing. Tomorrow night, the Knicks will travel to Boston to finish off the regular season before embarking on a playoff series with them. Tomorrow nights game should be a matchup of the benches because I expect both teams to rest their starting players.
Let’s end this season already… Go Knicks!
