Tonight, the New York Knicks will face off against the Boston Celtics in game one of a seven game playoff series.
I’m expecting this to be a gritty, hard-fought, and overall exciting series. Obviously this series will depend on the play of Boston and New York’s big threes. If Carmelo Anthony, Amare Stoudemire and Chauncey Billups can lead the Knicks with phenomenal play, they will be tough to beat. Similiarly, if the Celtics can hide their age and continue to play at a high level, they will be hard to beat.
While this game will not decide who wins the series, it will definitly give us a snapshot into the posssible outcomes of the series.
I hope that the Knicks come out focused and can either steal the victory or keep it close. If the Knicks can manage to stay within single digits, but untilimity lose the game, I will have confidence that on their home court they will have a fighting shot against the Celtics.
I’m very excited for the first playoff game in seven years, and I hope that it is not a huge disappointment.
