With his sudden emergence onto the NBA stage, Jeremy Lin has been added to the roster of the 2012 Rising Stars All-Star Game. Lin, along with fellow rookie Norris Cole, was a late addition, made by acting commissioner Kenny Smith.
Different than prior years, in which this matchup was Rookies vs. Sophomores, Shaquille O’Neal and Charles Barkley drafted their teams from the pool of rookies and sophomores.
Blake Griffin, Ricky Rubio, Greg Monroe, Markieff Morris, Kemba Walker, Landry Fields, Norris Cole, Brandon Knight and Tristan Thompson, will all play on Lin’s team, while Kyrie Irving, DeMarcus Cousins, Paul George, Derrick Williams, MarShon Brooks, John Wall, Gordon Hayward, Tiago Splitter, Kawhi Leonard and Evan Turner will be the other team.
It should be a very fun game, especially with the possibility of some Lin-to-Griffin alley-oops, filled with offense.
The game will tip off on February 24, on TNT.
