According to the Sun Sentinel, the Miami Heat’s first road game will be on Friday, November 2nd, when they will face off against the New York Knicks at Madison Square Garden. While the official, full NBA schedule has yet to be released, it’s likely this will be the Knicks’ home opener.
The Miami Heat defeated the New York Knicks 4-1 in the first-round of the 2012 playoffs, but both teams have made some substantial moves since then. New York has parted ways with both Jeremy Lin, who never saw the court in the playoffs, and Landry Fields, but has added the likes of Raymond Felton, Jason Kidd, Marcus Camby and Kurt Thomas. They will likely add another shooting guard/small forward before the season opens, too. The Heat have added to their arsenal with the additions of sharp-shooter Ray Allen, who was plucked from the rival Boston Celtics, and veteran Rashard Lewis.
The rest of the NBA schedule is likely to be released later in the week, so stay tuned for more!
