With Rasheed Wallace’s sore foot/stress reaction, the New York Knicks appear to have interest in signing Kenyon Martin. This offseason, the Knicks had some reported interest in the 35-year-old forward, but Martin was unwilling to take a pay-cut. Now, however, according to Yahoo! Sports, Martin is “open-minded about the possibility of accepting a 10-day contract,” in order to receive an audition of sorts. Martin is confident that, if given the chance, he will be able to impress the Knicks with how much he still has left in the tank.
The “critical piece,” revolving the signed of Kenyon Martin is said to be Rasheed Wallace. Sheed has now missed 12 straight games and the Knicks need front-court help if the injury lingers.
