2013 NBA Trade Deadline Live Blog

Welcome, all, to The Knicks Wall’s 2013 NBA Trade Deadline Live Blog. We’re just hours away from the trade deadline, so I’ll keep this post updated with any and all rumors transpiring in the final hours. If you have any questions you’d like answered, post them in the comments and I’ll get back to you!

12:15 AM – According to Wojnarowski, the Orlando Magic are not set on dealing J.J. Redick by today’s 3PM trade deadline. They’re fine holding onto him for remainder of year.

Latest news after the jump!

8:35 AM – The Hawks are hesitant to trade Josh Smith to an Eastern Conference team, so they’re still assessing all their options, hoping they can find a deal of their liking, which wouldsend him to the Western Conference, per Y! Sports.

9:10 AM - The Houston Rockets, “flush with assets,” are serious about landing Josh Smith, according to Ken Berg. The interesting thing about the Rockets is that they have the necessary cap room this summer to sign Smith, even if they don’t trade for him, so they have some leverage in the negotiations.

9:30 AM – The Toronto Raptors have emerged as front runners for the Suns’ Sebastian Telfair, per Wojnarowski.

9:55 AM – The Los Angeles Lakers are shopping Steve Blake, Chris Duhon, Devin Ebanks and Darius Morris for 2nd-round selections, per Y! Sports. They’re trying to open up roster spots.

10:00 AM – The Orlando have received multiple offers for J.J. Redick. These offers have been first-round picks, which they’re looking for, but the picks are in the 20s. They are looking for better, per Y! Sports.

10:20 AM – The Indiana Pacers are shopping D.J. Augustin, Gerald Green and Tyler Hansbrough, according to Mike Wells.

10:45 AM – Milwaukee has emerged as the front runner for Josh Smith, dangling a package composed of Monta Ellis, Ekpe Udoh and some fillers for Josh Smith and Devin Harris, per multiple reports.

10:50 AM – The Golden State Warriors are supposedly shopping an array of bench players, in order to get out of luxury tax, per Y! Sports.

10:50 AM – With the Bucks making a hard push for Josh Smith, they’re also staying on top of J.J. Redick. They’d hope to land Smith, Harris and Redick for a playoff run.

11:30 AM – The Boston Celtics are making a last minute push for Sacramento guard, Tyreke Evans, according to Marc Stein of ESPN. The Kings have been hesitant in trading Evans, so it will be tough for Boston to nab him, but after yesterday’s Thomas Robinson deal, I wouldn’t put any deal past the Kings.

12:00 PM – Should the Nets not complete a trade for Josh Smith, which is what’s looking like reality, they will likely stand pat at the deadline, per Woj.

12:05 PM – The New York Knicks will not trade Iman Shumpert, according to Jared Zwerling of ESPNNY. Brewer is the most tradeable player on the team.

12:45 PM – A lot of nothing. This is setting up to be one of the most anticlimactic trade deadlines in recent memory. Bulls aren’t going to trade Boozer, Bucks are “unlikely” to include Monta Ellis in a proposal for Josh Smith and Spurs can’t find a suitor for DaJuan Blair, headline the (lack of) news.

1:00 PM – According to Ken Berg, the Washington Wizards are waiting on pulling the trigger in any deal involving Jordan Crawford, but have been talking with the Boston Celtics, as well as the Dallas Mavericks.

1:10 PM - The Indiana Pacers are thinking about getting in on the J.J. Redick sweapstakes, but are “squeamish,” about giving up a 1st round pick, per Ken Berg.   The thought of adding J.J. Redick to already dangerous Pacers is quite scary.

1:15 PM – While the Atlanta Hawks have been “underwhelmed” by the offers for Josh Smith, it’s believed they will accept an offer before the 3PM deadline, in order to avoid losing him this summer without receiving anything in return, according to Alex Kennedy.

1:45 PM - The Washington Wizards will send Jordan Crawford to the Boston Celtics for Leandro Barbosa’s expiring contract, according to multiple reports.

1:50 PM – The Miami Heat will trade Dexter Pittman and a second round pick to the Memphis Grizzlies for a trade exception, according to multiple reports.

2:05 PM – The Toronto Raptors will send Hamed Haddadi and a second round pick to the Phoenix Suns for Sebastien Telfair.

2:50 PM - The Portland Blazers will receive Eric Maynor, according to Marc Spears. It’s likely that Portland will use their trade exception for the deal and will also throw in a draft pick.

3:00 PM - J.J. Redick has been traded to the Milwaukee Bucks for Doron Lamb, Tobias Harris and Beno Udrih, per Y! Sports.

3:00 PM - Milwaukee will not be trading for Josh Smith.

3:04 PM - The Orlando Magic will trade Josh McRoberts to the Charlotte Bobcats for Hakim Warrick, per Rick Bonnell.

3:05 PM - The Atlanta Hawks have traded Anthony Morrow to the Dallas Mavericks for Dahntay Jones, according to Brian Windhorst.
