Earlier today, Nike and Jordan Brand officially announced the arrival of the Jordan Melo M10 — Carmelo Anthony’s tenth shoe with Nike. To commemorate the landmark shoe, Anthony worked with acclaimed sneaker designer, Tinker Hatfield, to bring a unique and technology-leading shoe to basketball fans worldwide. Hatfield, known for his design on the iconic Air Jordan series (III through XV), helped create the kicks that celebrates Anthony’s on-court game and his milestone anniversary with Jordan Brand.
The Jordan Melo M10 features the signature Flight Plate technology, offering maximum responsiveness through compression and deflection. Additionally, the Melo M10 will sport molded quarter panels made with full-grain nubuck leather coupled with a TPU heel counter, to provide stability and support. The main version of the shoe is covered in a DK powder blue colorway with a black and white midsole. Hints of red are also scattered on the eyelets.
Those looking to pick up the Black/DK Powder Blue Jordan Melo M10 will be able to do so on January 4, 2014 for a suggested retail price of $165. Two alternate versions of Anthony’s tenth anniversary shoe were also unveiled, but the release dates are currently unknown. One alternate is shown sporting a black colorway with a red collar and a black and red midsole, while the other alternate has a silver colorway, a black vamp, neon-yellow laces, and a silver and black-hinted midsole.
For those wondering about an orange and blue colorway, I’m sure we’ll see Melo rock various player editions throughout the year, with a few of them hitting shelves.
