Pablo Torre of Sports Illustrated has the first one-on-one with Jeremy Lin. From it. we learn that Lin’s top choice was New York, he was told not to rush back for the playoffs. I’m going to post some tidbits from the article, but be sure to read it in full here.
It’s official. The Knicks did not match Jeremy Lin’s offer-sheet, letting him to be signed to the Houston Rockets for $25.1 million over three-years. Letting Lin leave for the Rockets could be a colossal mistake, or it could be financially savvy move that has little bearing on the team’s ultimate success. Nobody really knows, which […]
Jimmy Guitar has done it again. James Dolan has yet again picked up his favorite instrument and produced another unbearable sound. But this time, it isn’t with his favorite music instrument (although, by judging from reviews, he’s not any better at that either). This sound is the one of Knicks fans all over New York […]
Well, I was in the middle of writing a post outlining some more reasons why the Knicks should keep Jeremy Lin, but Howard Beck just broke the news: Jeremy Lin will NOT be matched by the New York Knicks.
There’s been some chatter this morning on Twitter revolving around the stretch provision, so I thought I’d give everyone a quick explanation. The stretch provision allows for teams to cut a player, then “stretch” out his contract for two times the remaining length, plus one additional year. As an example, let’s use Jeremy Lin.
As it currently stands, Raymond Felton and Jason Kidd are the two point guards on the Knicks’ roster. Jason Kidd signed a three-year deal for the mini-MLE, while Raymond Felton was the centerpiece of a sign-and-trade, which let him receive a three-year deal reported as $10 million (I’m nearly 100% sure Knicks can’t offer more […]

With the team acquiring another point guard to go along with Jason Kidd […]
The offseason that doesn’t stop giving continued this past weekend for the New York Knicks. There were stories of problems delivering offer sheets, possible gripes between Jeremy Lin and the Knicks organization and players calling the deal “ridiculous” and suggesting it could cause locker room friction Meanwhile, the team added their 900th point guard to […]
As reported by Jason Quick, a senior writer for The Oregonian, the New York Knicks and Portland Trail Blazers have come to terms on the details of their sign-and-trade. Portland will receive Jared Jeffries, Dan Gadzuric, Kostas Papanikolaou, Georgios Printezis and some cash. The Knicks will get Raymond Felton and Kurt Thomas. The deal cannot […]
NBA Summer League action is ‘fan-tastic’! Another slow start (4 of 13 FG in the 1st quarter) and the Knicks found themselves playing from behind again today! The Knicks’ squad was more aggressive on both ends of the floor today, but it didn’t seem to matter. It was for better or for worse, as they […]
