Due to a very impressive second half, The New York Knicks were able to defeat their cross-river rivals, The New Jersey Nets. Chauncey Billups knocked down a pair of free throws to seal the deal after Deron Williams missed a fairly open jumper with just less than ten seconds to play.
FINALLY! Carmelo Anthony put it best: Tonight was a must win game for New York after previously losing six straight games. Melo also added that he needed to perform at a higher rate if his new team was going to be successful.

Tonight was all about the three-ball. As a team, the Knicks were able to hit 20 threes, which tied a team record. Not only did the team tie a record, but Toney Douglas tied Sprewell and Starks with nine threes in a single game.
