The Knicks earned a season split against the Boston Celtics with a 118-110 win tonight at Madison Square Garden. Carmelo Anthony had his second career triple-double, pouring in 35 points along with 12 rebounds and 10 assists. Paul Pierce led all scorer’s with 43 points in a losing effort.
The Knicks could not contain the Heat’s dynamic duo
Even though the Heat were 3-8 in their last 11 road games, the Knicks defense could not contain Dwayne Wade or LeBron James, as they lost 93-85 to the Heat. Wade and James combined for 57 of the Heat’s 93 points.
Knicks make Wizards Disappear in Rout
In what turned out to be a scrimmage before their nationally televised matchup with the Miami Heat on Sunday, the Knicks completely destroyed the Washington Wizards Friday night at MSG, 103-65. J.R. Smith led New York with 23 points and six assists off the bench. The Wizards were led by Jordan Crawford’s 17 points.
The Buck Stops with Knicks Winning in Milwaukee

In a game that for sure left fans at the edge of their seats, biting off their nails, screaming at their TVs and gasping for air, the Knicks pulled out a huge win over the Bucks in Milwaukee, 111-107. Carmelo Anthony continued his hot streak, leading New York with 32 points and 10 rebounds. Monta Ellis had his best game as a Buck, scoring 35 points and filling the stat sheet with 10 assists, six rebounds and four steals.
The Knicks lose to the Bulls before a must win in Milwaukee
The Knicks were not able to beat the best team in the league for a second game in a row as they lost to the Bulls, 98-86, and now only have a one game lead over the Bucks for eighth place. They play the Bucks tonight in Milwaukee.
Knicks comeback late in 4th and beat Bulls in OT
Ok. Got my breath back. Heart rate back to normal. After coming back from a 10-point deficit with 3:45 left in the fourth quarter, the Knicks defeated the Chicago Bulls in overtime, 100-91. Carmelo Anthony, who hit both the game tying three-pointer to send the game to overtime and the winner, led the Knicks with 43 points on 16-for-31 shooting. Derrick Rose led the bulls with 29 points.
Three Man Weave: Shumpert, ‘Melo, and Woodson’s Defense
Iman Shumpert: The Knicks rookie guard is making a strong case that he should be in the starting lineup. In his last four games, Shump is averaging 17.8 points, four rebounds and over two steals. His shooting numbers are just as impressive (47% from the floor, 47% from beyond the arc on 12-for-26). Meanwhile, starting SG Landry Fields has endured a stretch of 11 consecutive games in single figure scoring and is shooting just 35% from the floor since Mike Woodson took over as interim coach.
Knicks Pull Magic Act, Pound Orlando
No Amar’e and Lin again, no problem for the Knicks. After a slow start, New York crushed the Orlando Magic 108-86. Despite playing with a groin injury, Carmelo Anthony led New York with 25 points, six assists and five rebounds. Rookie Iman Shumpert also had 25 points (career high) to go along with seven rebounds and four assists. Jameer Nelson led Orlando with 17 points and four assists.
