With his sudden emergence onto the NBA stage, Jeremy Lin has been added to the roster of the 2012 Rising Stars All-Star Game. Lin, along with fellow rookie Norris Cole, was a late addition, made by acting commissioner Kenny Smith.
The Knicks defeated the Sacramento Kings, 100-85, in a game they dominated from start to finish. This was their seventh win in a row, sixth with Jeremy Lin in the starting lineup, and it pushes the team back to .500, at 15-15.
On February 4, Jeremy Lin lit up the Nets, in his first game in which he received extended minutes. He scored 25 points and dished out 5 assists. After that game, the Linsanity began.
After a miraculous week, Jeremy Lin was just named as the Eastern Conference Player of the Week, after picking up the same honor in the NBA D-League. Forbes says that Jeremy Lin “is the fastest growing athlete brand in the world”.
Jeremy Shu-How Lin is 23-years-old, and was born on August 23, 1988. Lin grew up in Palo Alto, California, where his parents chose to raise him after emigrating from Taiwan to the US in the ‘70’s. Jeremy Lin stands at 6’3”, which is amazing, considering both of his parents are 5’6”.
