The Knicks blew multiple chances to take control of the game and ended up losing in Dallas by 3, 114-111. Tyson Chandler led the Knicks with 21 points and 13 rebounds. Raymond Felton had 18 points and 11 assists. Also, Jason Kidd stuffed the stat sheet with 17 points, six rebounds, five assists, and five steals. Unfortunately, Vince Carter turned back the clock and torched the Knicks for 25 points.

The New York Knicks improved to 4-0 after beating the Dallas Mavericks by 10, 104-94. It is the first time the Knicks have started 4-0 since the ’93-’94 season. Carmelo Anthony led the way with 31 points and JR Smith added 22 points off the bench. It was a big win, as the Knicks will now head into a tough road trip that will take them through Orlando, San Antonio and Memphis in four nights.

In their toughest matchup of the Jeremy Lin era, the Knicks pulled out a gritty 104-97 victory over the defending champion Dallas Mavericks. In a back and forth game, the Knicks trailed Dallas by three going into the fourth quarter. New York finished off the third quarter on a 7-0 run and had the momentum going into the final twelve minutes of the game. In the fourth quarter, the Knicks’ outside shooting woes seemed to disappear. The 29th ranked three point shooting team in the NBA hit six shots from outside the arc to bury the Mavericks.
