The Knicks have used one of their five training camp invites on a familiar face in Summer League contributor DaQuan Jeffries.

The New York Knicks are signing DaQuan Jeffries to a training camp deal, sources told Shams Charania of The Athletic on Wednesday afternoon.

Jeffries, who has averaged just 3.8 points per game and 1.9 rebounds over his short career, most recently played for the Memphis Grizzlies and has bounced around the league for the last four seasons. His first two were spent with the Sacramento Kings starting in 2019-20, where he only played 31 games.

The 6’5 25-year-old wing also featured on the Knicks’ 2022 Summer League squad, averaging 8.2 points, 4.2 rebounds, and nearly a block per game while shooting 46% from three, albeit on a limited sample size. Jeffries takes one of the five available training camp slots, with the hopes of securing one of New York’s two remaining roster spots, which will likely continue to be filled in the next few days as the start of training camp approaches for NBA teams.
