Patrick Ewing, Kristaps Porzingis, Frank Ntilikina & more will be highlighted as part of MSG Networks’ “Rookie Week.”

MSG Networks, the telecast programming of New York Knicks basketball, will air “Rookie Week,” where fans can re-live iconic performances of Patrick Ewing, Kristaps Porzingis, and more ‘Bockers during their rookie seasons.

The network plans to launch its Rookie Week programming to coincide with Thursday’s 2018 NBA Draft, in which the Knicks possess the ninth overall pick.

In addition, MSG Networks is partnering with SLAM Magazine to provide interviews with prospects from this year’s draft class, called “SLAM 2018 Draft Suite.” The interviews can be found via SLAM’s website and social media channels as well as broadcast on MSG Networks.

On Monday, MSG Networks will air Patrick Ewing’s Christmas Day 1985 performance, where he tallied 32 points and 11 rebounds in New York’s double overtime victory at the Garden versus Larry Bird the Boston Celtics.

Monday will also feature a recent throwback game—Kristaps Porzingis’ 29-point breakout game versus Kemba Walker and the Charlotte Hornets in November 2015. MSG Network will re-air the game on Thursday, June 21, before the draft.

On Tuesday, the network will air Mark Jackson’s rookie record–tying 18-assist performance in April 1988 versus Michael Jordan and the Chicago Bulls.

Wednesday will see a recent performance from New York’s French guard Frank Ntilikina, whose first double-digit scoring game came against Victor Oladipo and the Indiana Pacers on November 5th of last year. Ntilikina made his mark on defense, too, helping contain Darren Collison, Oladipo, and the Pacers’ in New York’s thrilling comeback victory.

Thursday, MSG Networks will air prophetic rookie Bill Bradley’s debut in December 1967.

Finally, on Friday, Ntilikina’s 10-assist effort against the Brooklyn Nets from January will be re-aired.

MSG Networks is broadcasting ironic rookie performances to coincide with the draft on Thursday. The franchise is looking to add another core piece to the rebuild, with a few names like Mikal and Miles Bridges, Kevin Knox, and Trae Young all in mind to select with the no. 9 pick.
